Nutanix all-hands meeting keeps cloud platform company connected

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Jose, California, Nutanix is the global leader in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) software, integrating compute, storage, networking, and virtualization into a single software-defined platform that dramatically simplifies data center operations.

By 2011, Nutanix had reached $1 billion in annual recurring revenue, becoming the fastest enterprise software company to ever reach that milestone. In 2016 the company went public and by 2021 it fully completed the shift to a subscription-based business model.

Today, the company serves over 25,000 customers worldwide with its Nutanix Cloud Platform for hybrid multi-cloud management, unified storage, and intelligent operations. With fiscal 2024 revenue of approximately $2.1 billion and a market cap around $15–20 billion in 2025, Nutanix remains a leading force in making infrastructure invisible so organizations can focus on innovation rather than operations.

THE CHALLENGE

For years, Nutanix had produced its All-Hands meetings internally. As the company grew, expectations increased, and leadership identified an opportunity to elevate the production quality, creative energy, and overall broadcast polish of these high-visibility events. They wanted a partner capable of delivering a more dynamic, television-style experience—one that could strengthen engagement across their global employee base.

The first project with GlobeStream—a late-night talk-show–inspired format titled "Late Night with Nutanix" —set an ambitious creative direction. The CMO would host the program, interviewing executives across multiple departments. The production required a full broadcast environment, hybrid audience management, multi-camera direction, remote panelist integration, and entertainment-style pacing.

Key challenges included:

  • Designing and implementing a complete AV and broadcast package from scratch.

  • Managing a hybrid environment with in-room attendees, live online viewers, and remote participants.

  • Supporting real-time interaction and Q&A across multiple platforms.

  • Delivering a polished, cohesive show that balanced creative flair with corporate messaging.

  • Achieving a step-change in production quality relative to prior internally produced events.

A pivotal element: the Nutanix team member responsible for hiring the AV provider had previously worked at GoPro and had seen GlobeStream’s work firsthand—particularly our ability to execute complex, technical, television-grade productions. She championed GlobeStream internally, expressing full confidence that we could deliver the elevated standard Nutanix was targeting.

WHY GLOBESTREAM MEDIA?

Nutanix selected GlobeStream because they wanted to raise the bar. They sought a partner with deep technical expertise, strong creative instincts, and the discipline to run a corporate broadcast with the precision of a network show. Our experience at GoPro, combined with our proven ability to manage multi-camera productions, remote guests, and complex stage flows, made us the clear choice. More importantly, Nutanix trusted our ability to integrate seamlessly with their internal teams, enhance the show format, and deliver consistent excellence across recurring events.

THE SOLUTION

GlobeStream engineered and produced the entire late-night–style All-Hands broadcast from the ground up.

Our work included:

  • Full AV and broadcast infrastructure design, including lighting, projection, audio, and a four-camera studio environment.

  • End-to-end show operations, featuring a professional Front of House crew: audio engineers, technical director, switcher operator, and an experienced show caller.

  • Seamless stream delivery over Nutanix’s internal network, optimized for reliability and clarity across a dispersed global workforce.

  • Live Q&A workflows supporting both in-person attendees and remote participants.

  • Remote panelist integration, ensuring executives from multiple locations could join the program without compromising quality or timing.

  • Original content creation, including scripted openers, comedic segments, and parodies inspired by SNL, The Office, and Love, Actually. These became a recurring hallmark of Nutanix All-Hands programming.

  • Real-time survey monitoring and integration, allowing presenters to respond dynamically to employee input during the show.

GlobeStream transformed the All-Hands into a polished, engaging, broadcast-level experience—scalable, repeatable, and aligned with Nutanix’s culture and communication goals.

THE RESULTS

The inaugural Late Night with Nutanix production delivered exactly what the company needed: a fresh, high-energy, television-quality experience that redefined what an internal corporate event could be. Employees responded enthusiastically, leadership recognized the elevated production value, and the event set a new organizational standard for internal communication.

As a result, Nutanix has retained GlobeStream as its primary AV and streaming partner for years. Our engagement now spans:

  • Every quarterly global All-Hands meeting.

  • Original content production for special segments and executive messaging.

  • Hybrid and remote panel integrations.

  • Data-driven audience engagement during live broadcasts.

  • Streaming and production support for Nutanix’s flagship global event, the .Next Conference.

Today, GlobeStream remains a trusted partner, helping Nutanix deliver innovative, engaging, and flawlessly executed events that scale with the company’s growth and global presence.
